Pickaxe route and ore nodes.

Poly Loot mining unlocks from Miner Tom’s pickaxe quest deeper in the cave chain. Recaps and field footage name Wood → Iron → Gold → Diamond pickaxes, randomized ore nodes, Crystal for Crystal Armor, and a Bear Mountain loop. Some Bear Mountain ore is PvP-on; a low-level cluster is reported PvP-off. Place 124032631078772. Verified September 15, 2026 from AllThings. How plus a mining route recap. Live nodes move — do not treat this as a coordinate dump.

Do not wander Bear Mountain empty-handed. The pickaxe is a Crafting product gated by Miner Tom’s quest. That NPC sits deeper in the cave chain, after the settlement sweep (Captain Mara, Ser Aldric, Mayor) and the Bones / skeleton push.
Exact coordinates stay TBA. Follow cave quest markers. A mining recap shows Tom near ore spots just off a cave entrance — useful as a landmark, not a GPS pin.

Until Iron/Gold pickaxes, do not pick a “best spot” and camp it. Recaps say walk the map, hit whatever node is up, then continue the quest. Designated loops matter once swing time is short.
Two cave-entrance nodes sit right as you drop in. Any ore type can roll there. That is enough to start Wood/Iron crafts without a PvP flag.

The last pickaxe in the current recap line is Diamond. It is crafted, not looted off a boss. Recipe numbers below are community-reported — confirm the Crafting UI before you vendor materials.
| Pickaxe | Reported cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wood | 25 Wood | First craft after Miner Tom |
| Iron | 15 Iron (to leave the wood axe) | Farm nodes + leftover quest iron |
| Gold | 15 Gold + Red Shards | Red Shards also come from mobs |
| Diamond | Diamond Ore + 10 Epic Shards | End of published line; confirm live counts |
On the Bear Mountain five-node loop, footage showed some nodes breaking in one hit and others in four or five with Diamond. If your Wood pickaxe takes forever, you are on the wrong tool, not the wrong mountain.
Epic Shards for Diamond also come from dismantling at Crafting and from high rarity drops. Pair mining with weapons so you are not starving shards.
Two advertised routes: the cave entrance (safe-ish, fewer nodes, Crystal side rooms) and Bear Mountain (dense loop, PvP risk). A recap counted five openings near one cave left-branch, then a no-ore skeleton hall if you go straight down from the entrance — do not farm that hall for ore.

| Spot | Why go | Why leave |
|---|---|---|
| Cave entrance pair | First ores, low drama | Too slow once pickaxe is Gold+ |
| Left-branch five openings | Crystal nearby; manual farm | Still slower than Bear loop |
| Extra cave / Crystal wall | Crystal Armor mats | Not a full ore circuit |
| Bear Mountain 5-node + upper extra | Respawn while you loop | PvP-on at the main cluster |
| Upper three extras | Pickaxe progression filler | Not the best loop |
| Straight-down skeleton hall | Combat / bones quests | No ores reported |
Clear 1–4, climb to the extra node, and the first four can be up again. Node types randomize — gold, iron, diamond, crystal, coal. That randomization is why camping “the gold rock” is a bad plan.
Crystal behind a wall near a side cave is the armor craft hook. Late players still grab it; early players should tag it when they see it rather than running a dedicated crystal hour.
The Bear Mountain entrance cluster is reported PvP-enabled. Further up, some nodes flip PvP-off. Recaps also flag a pair of ores as safe for players under about level 10 who still want pickaxe progression.
Flags can move with updates. Read the live PvP indicator. If you are getting targeted, leave for cave-entrance nodes or a reported PvP-off cluster. Merchant XP / Luck Totems are not a PvP-off switch.
Gold Mine is the AFK coin machine. Mining nodes are not. Standing still on PvP ore is how a loot RPG turns into a corpse run.
If you came here from codes: MINING the Social Rewards string is Expired / Unverified on codes. It does not unlock Miner Tom.
After Diamond Pickaxe and Crystal Armor, ore is not trash. Gold Mine upgrades eat Gold, Iron, and Coal. Coal is reported as a 2x gold-rate add-on. That is the reason to keep looping after crafts complete.
| Material | Sink | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wood | Wood pickaxe | Early only |
| Iron | Iron pickaxe + Gold Mine upgrades | Keep a buffer |
| Gold | Gold pickaxe + Gold Mine | Also a currency elsewhere — do not dump blindly |
| Coal | Gold Mine 2x rate (reported) | Duration/stack TBA |
| Diamond Ore | Diamond pickaxe | Confirm recipe |
| Crystal | Crystal Armor | Cave walls / random nodes |
| Red / Epic Shards | Pickaxe crafts + Upgrade | Mob + dismantle |
Unlock gold mine as soon as the cave quest appears. Mining feeds the building; the building does not replace mining.
Then spend coins on Upgrade for the weapon you swing, or an XP Totem (~1,000 Coins, ~50% radius XP — reported).
Next: gold mine so coins tick while you loop nodes.
Then: gear tiers if JUNGLE scrolls are still unused.

Diamond Pickaxe in current recaps. Recipe: Diamond Ore + 10 Epic Shards — confirm in Crafting.
Main cluster reported PvP-on. Some upper / under-10 nodes reported PvP-off. Read the live flag.
Yes. Gold Mine upgrades and Coal 2x still eat ore.
No. That string is a Social Rewards shard code in conflict (Expired / Unverified). Miner Tom starts mining.
